FOUR
AND A HALF BEACON REVIEW FOR,
WHAT DOES IT
MEAN TO BE DEAD?
LIFE AFTER DEATH STORIES OF LOST SOULS
by Melanie
Rodriguez with Patrick Rodriguez
This book is the true
story of Melanie and Patrick Rodriguez and their
work to help lost souls make the transition to
their next journey following death. I enjoyed
reading the stories of various souls they had
assisted. They made me feel somewhat
disbelieving, yet oddly reassured. I must admit
to very limited thought on this topic, but now
am rather interested in exploring my own beliefs
on the subject.
I particularly
appreciate the tone of this story. It was
neither preachy, nor overtly profound. There was
a ‘matter-of-factness’ to each chapter that
made it much more compelling. The author and her
husband obviously see themselves as helpers,
rather than saviors, and that humility is a gift
in and of itself. Along those same lines, I
really felt a connection to the many references
to angels and their part in this tale. Thank you for opening my heart and mind to new possibilities.

Review of 'What Does It Mean to Be Dead?',

I read this book from start to finish without pausing. It held my interest extremely. And it's very rare that a book does that.
-----------------------------------
Melanie & Patrick Rodriguez have done a remarkable job writing this book. They have shared their gift and experiences with `lost souls'. You feel as if you are right along with them. As I read through this book, I felt compassion for these souls, and respect for the work that Melanie & Patrick do. You will feel a sense of hope as you complete this book, knowing that there is a Heaven and we will all meet there someday. A feeling of needing to resolve things now with the time that we are given, so that we don't linger endlessly, filled with guilt and or remorse from a past life. There is life after death! A beautiful life!
I would highly recommend this book to readers. A 5-star book!

Engrossing stories of human spirits that lost their
way, March 9, 2006
Reviewer: R. Goudie "rgoudie" (Montreal, Quebec, Canada)
I must admit up front that I hold the authors as two of my dearest friends. I was fortunate enough to have read the book during its development up until the time that it was accepted for publishing.
This fact notwithstanding, I found the book to be a highly engrossing account of the stories of a collection of discarnate humans that were lost and were helped on their way to the next phase of their existence by the authors. The stories are dripping with human emotions that will both touch your heart as well as make you laugh out loud. Although the book is not fiction, the flow of the narrative reads like a novel.
Intertwined within the stories of these human spirits is the account of how Melanie Rodriguez began to trust her natural ability to sense and interact with the spirit dimensions. This trust led to increased skill and dispelled much of her initial fears. This aspect of the book may appeal to those that may believe that they share similar abilities, but may be feeling apprehensive.
This book may very well offer you an alternate point of view toward the nature of reality!

I truly enjoyed reading your book. It was very insightful, inspiring,
scary, hopeful and intriguing all at the same time. I couldn't put it down once I got started. It had my emotions running wild from one moment to the
next. It's hard to believe that there are people who can actually see into another
dimension and see lost souls who are trying to find their way. I actually think the book should have lasted a little longer. I was awestruck reading some of the stories because it's so hard to believe that they are true. I have lost several family members who have transitioned to the other side
and have not once had one of them visit me. I never thought it was possible.
All of your characters were very well written and the way you described them made me seem as if I were sitting right there in the room with you. I especially liked the little boy and the lady at the end of your book. I admire you two and am glad to know there is someone out here that can help the lost ones who are trying to find their way home. I hope my
father, sister and brother are not out there somewhere roaming around searching for
a place to go. But if they are I'm glad there are people like you that are waiting to help them on their way. Keep up the good work. God will bless you for your endeavors.

A worthy read for those who wish to explore beyond the 5

As a spirit worker with a lifetime of personal experience in accessing multidimensional realities, I find "What Does it Mean to Be Dead", to be an informative introduction to grasping what it means to 'pass over.' The Rodriquez's simple depiction of their personal experiences provides meaningful insights to life's ultimate challenge. I recommend it to anyone who believes that there is more to living than our physical form and is not afraid to learn more.
